Death of wife and daughter in bus crash too hard to bear
JOHOR BARU: The bus crash on Sunday has taken everything that retiree Foo Fong Hin holds dear.
In the accident near Tangkak that took 10 lives, Foo, 62, lost his wife Khor Mooi Hua, 50, and daughter Pei Hin, 21.
The bereft Foo was especially heartbroken to lose Pei Hin whom he called his “jewel”.
“She just enrolled at the National University of Singapore for her Bachelor of Business Administration course two months ago.
“She had a bright future but this tragedy has taken it all away, along with my hopes and dreams.”
He said that he had placed the ‘tambun’ biscuit before her photograph at the Tiong Hua crematorium in Jalan Ngee Heng here because it was his daughter’s favourite food.
Foo said his wife and daughter had left on Thursday for Penang to attend a relative’s wedding.
“They stopped at my sister-in-laws’ place in Sitiawan before continuing their journey back here.
“I never expected this to happen. I was looking forward to seeing them again,” he sobbed.
Both bodies would be at the crematorium until the cremation ceremony today.
He expressed hope that the authorities would investigate the matter thoroughly.
State traffic chief Supt T. Raveendran said police had not questioned the 38-year-old bus driver as he was still being treated at the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital in Muar.

Do you want this to happen to you? Your father? Your Mother, sister, brother?

If your answer is no, then please lodge complains.
Reprimand the bus driver if he is on the phone, take down his particulars and complain his ass off to the authorities.
If no one takes any actions against these reckless bus companies and negligent drivers, you have to take things into your own hands.
They do not treasure your lives, or your family's.
Please, for the love of everyone. Someone do something!
