We commonly hear this term, "ANGMOH", which refers to the whites, or the Caucasians we bump into in our asian countries. That in the hokkein dialect, would mean RED HAIR.
It puzzles me.
There is no such person with blazing red hair and white skin hanging around. That's unless you're planning on ordering the Big Mac Meal or Fillet-o-fish.
Lets face it. The closest hair colour of the Caucasians we would get is ORANGE, aka Gingers.
That would mean that they should be called "OREN MOH" or "CHIAM(Orange) MOH".
There were no such things as hair dye, specially red, in the olden days when this nickname was given to them.
Other names we should use are:
"KIM MOH" - Gold hair aka blondes
"ORH MOH" - Black hair - lets face it, there ARE caucasians with black hair
"CHOCKRAT MOH" - Chocolate hair or commonly known as Brunettes
"BOH MOH" - No Hair or Bald
"TAI JUAY MOH" - Too much hair
SEE? These descriptions are much more reasonable than ANG MOH! Unless they are all looking like RONALD MACDONALDS, I don't think so man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Learn your hokkein, fools!
